Mud Creek Prairie Garden
SFN have loaded this demonstration plot with native plants to give the public a feel for what is native to this Carolinian region and encourage people to buy local native plants!
Sydenham Field Naturalists maintain and care for this garden with primary leadership for many years from Frank Henry and more recently taken over by Steve Parr. Students from McGregor Secondary School have helped in creating the signs which mark the different species.
This property is located in Mud Creek behind McGregor Secondary School in Chatham. The garden is accessible to the public with a parking near the school at 300 Cecile Ave, Chatham.
Our Mud Creek Garden has it’s own twitter page! See some of the excitement below and check out the full story courtesy of Steve Parr on twitter.
