The mud creek garden was created in 2012 as a joint effort between the Sydenham Field Naturalists and John McGregor Secondary School.
This garden is not only a great spot for local Chatham residents to learn about what natives species they could incorporate into their gardens but it is also proving a wonderful refuge for pollinators and other local wildlife. The garden is furthermore a source of natives seedlings each spring for the SFN native plant sale!
Ongoing stewardship and maintenance is undertaken by the SFN with primary leadership by member Frank Henry.
