Due to the pandemic concerns our Sydenham Field Naturalist’s annual banquet and meeting in April was cancelled. Unfortunately, this also postponed the annual Friend of Nature Award which was intended for Jim and Gary Rodger of Blenheim.
Their farm property, at 10577 Talbot Trail, has had numerous habitat restorations done over the course of several years. The wetland, native grasses and trees plantings in the fragile areas on this farmed property, has contribute to water quality improvement in the Rondeau Bay watershed.
On Sunday Sept. 13, 2020 at 1PM until 3PM members of SFN are invited on a walking tour of these extensive restorations. It is at this time Jim and Gary will finally be able to receive this year’s Friends of Nature award for all their habitat restorations.
Come out, enjoy and celebrate the natural beauty and biodiversity they have created.
