Wallaceburg Sycamore Woods Nature Preserve is a long-term project that is under the stewardship of Sydenham Field Naturalists. Acquiring this land has helped save a rare Carolinian woodland within the community of Wallaceburg.

The preserve is unfortunately not accessible to the public. However, through our 2022 Outings Program “Wallaceburg Sycamore Woods Through the Seasons” we are offering four seasonal tours of this extraordinary woodland.

On Sunday March 6, 2022, at 1:00pm “Winter in the Woods” will be our first tour. (Flyer attached)

We are requesting pre-registration by March 4th if you are interested in attending. This will help plan and host a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Sycamore Woods in its March splendor.

If you are interested in attending please either send us a message or email and let us know how many will be attending with you

Once you are registered, we will send you additional information about location and parking. For the optimal nature experience, we recommend appropriate footwear, boots are ideal for touring and exploring these amazing woods.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to this property being a nature preserve with minimal human maintenance as well as being landlocked, it is unfortunately NOT handicap accessible
